The Crane Works
I believe that "Crane" is the name of the company, rather than a description of what used to be made here. This is a big site, and a board outside proclaims "44 acre site acquired for development", so I don't suppose these buildings will be around much longer (credit crunch permitting, I suppose).

Grade II-listed Ipswich airport terminal building - not
When I first saw this building I assumed that it was the listed terminal building for the old Ipswich airport which had been converted into modern terraced housing (I had seen adverts for houses for sale described as such). The fact that the whitewash was starting to come away from the brick facade in places also suggested that this was an old building. However, as these http://www.ipswichairport.info/terminal.html aerial photos show the listed building was almost completely demolished, leaving only the western facade standing (this photo is of the eastern facade). This eastern facade is only 2 or so years old, which makes the current state of the whitewash particularly lamentable.
