Tayfen open space from estate
This recreation area is unknown to most Bury St. Edmunds residents. The houses on the edge of the Tayfen estate get a pleasant view over the grassland and lake. And they get to watch the trains pass by on the embankment that you can see in the distance. Note this is the changeover point between the old sodium street lamps and the new LED ones.

Tayfen Meadows play area
Remarkably free of children on this occasion, and therefore photographable.

Tayfen meadow wild flowers
The open spaces are partly mowed (and eaten by hundreds of rabbits) and partly left to grow wild though they were seeded years ago when the area was first landscaped. These areas are currently full of a yellow flower.

Misty morning, Tayfen Meadow
The skyline is dominated by the spire of St. John's church. There are a lot of Poles in Bury St. Edmunds, but on the right we have a new set of poles - the installation of lights by the path. Half the path was lit years ago but the remainder has remained dangerously dark.
