Railway Station, Thurston
The railway and platform, visible to the right, are nearly two storeys up, and the station building had to be arranged to deal with this. Surprisingly they did not provide a tunnel to the opposite platform, as used in Bury St. Edmunds station.
The station building incorporated the housing for the Station Master and his family - in the late 1920s this was my grandfather and family including my mother.
