Straight road interrupted
This road used to run straight for a long distance, eventually dropping down a hill into the fringes of Fornham St. Martin, just outside the borders of Bury St. Edmunds. Then a dual carriageway was built to bypass the village and that now bisects this road with a roundabout junction, just visible in the first valley. The road climbs back up to the top of the next ridge.
I'm slightly baffled by a brick tower with a porthole situated just below the flying bird on the left - I shall have to investigate on the ground.
