Road to Boxted church from The Street
The village sign can just be discerned in the tree foliage on the left of the image.
The sign is surmounted by two helms. One honouring Sir John Poley, the other Sir Edward Hallifax-Weller-Poley. Beneath and central are two box trees with a farmer and horse ploughing.
