Rede All Saints church
This lovely little church sits in a pleasant situation in the village centre, set back a little from the road. The tower was built in the early 14th century at the same time as the church, which has since been partially re-built and the roofs tiled. The porch is a memorial to Arthur J. H. Turner who died July 19th 1877. We know this because it is written on the gable, in the centre of which is a statuette in an ornate niche. The whole church has lost its interest, for historian and architect alike however, due to being over-restored. Goblins look down from the tower buttresses. There is little to see inside the church except for a few poppyheads on some old benches. The Stuart pulpit is quite ordinary as is the plain octagonal font. One old corner bench sits unused at the west end of the nave.
