Flempton cum Hengrave War Memorial
The memorial was erected as a memorial to the neighbouring villages of Flempton and Hengrave. It was erected by Sir John and Lady Wood of Hengrave Hall. Originally it stood over fifteen feet high with a slender shaft with a cross on top but it fell and was replaced with a more substantial 75mm welded box section cross. The memorial bears no names but the 24 names of the fallen in St Catherine's church in Flempton
