St. Catherine's church, Flempton. Suffolk
Although this church dates back to the end of the 13th century, it was mostly renewed during the Victorian period and the tower is a complete rebuild of 1839.

Flempton St Catherine?s church
Hengrave church is now out of use, the Convent at Hengrave Hall having been sold into private hands (see page 100). About Flempton, there is not much to say. Mature trees and Irish Yews adorn the churchyard, but restoration has ripped the heart and soul from the building. The tower has been recently restored (2007). Although it may be practical, the grey slate roof doesn’t help the look of the church, giving it a dour appearance; even the bright red priest’s door doesn’t help.
