Brandon Signal Box
A view from the side of Brandon Signal box, the flint station which is unfortunately without use is to the left. Brandon was the meeting point of two railway companies. The Norwich to Brandon Railway which joined with the Norwich to Yarmouth Railway Company to become the Norfolk Railway Company along with the Eastern Counties Railway Company, building a line from Cambridge to Brandon via Ely. Both railways opened in July 1845 (not the Yarmouth line, that was the first in Norfolk) with a fine flint station building that was the pride of the town. The friends of Brandon Station hope to revive this for the town.

Brandon's Signal Box
The signal box at Brandon railway station Suffolk. Here the county boundary crosses the railway line, so the station is in Norfolk but the signal box is in Suffolk.
