Old Milestone
Old milestone on the B1108 at Watton, Norfolk. This is on the junction of Griston Road and the B1108 I would think it was for the Watton to Attleborough turnpike road. Griston Road is now no longer a through route since the construction of Watton airfield before WWII. Old Milestone by the B1108, Norwich Road, Watton parish
Carved stone post by the B1108, in parish of WATTON (BRECKLAND District), 5yds East of Griston Road in front of office/shop, in brick-weave paving, on South side of road. Erected by an unknown authority in the 19th century.
Inscription reads:-
