Yaxley village sign
The bird is the cuckoo, the name “Yaxley” means 'cuckoo-clearing‘ also the nickname of the local football team is The Cuckoos. The other object is the sexton’s wheel of which this is the only one to still exist in the county and of only two in the country and can be seen in the church of St Mary.
