Static water tank on the Brome Industrial Estate
This is the concrete wall of the water tank, one of several original features remaining on the former Technical site of RAF Eye. The rungs are used for climbing the approximately 2 metres high wall surrounding the tank > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/4512405. Also referred to as 'Fire Pools', the purpose built static water tanks held emergency water supplies for fire fighting.
