Train entering Diss Station
"Britannia" steam locomotive "Oliver Cromwell" approaches Diss Station non-stop and at speed, with an excursion from London Liverpool Street to Norwich. The locomotive has just passed the crossover connecting the two tracks. This particular locomotive was a regular performer on this line in the 1950s and 1960s and was originally preserved at Bressingham, just a few miles west of this location.

Diss Station
This is the southern end of Diss Station. The platform on the left serves London-bound trains, while that on the right serves Norwich-bound trains. The London-bound platform is longer than the Norwich-bound platform. The Norwich to London line is electrified at 25KV AC.

Train entering Diss Station
This London Liverpool Street to Norwich train is slowing for its penultimate stop at Diss. The end nearest the camera is a driving trailer, with an electric locomotive pushing from the other end. This photograph was taken from the London-bound platform, which is longer than the opposite platform. Just beyond this platform can be seen the crossover connecting the two tracks, which allows trains to reverse if required.
