Garboldisham Post Mill - Stones
The compact nature of a post mill means the stones are close to the brake wheel and wallower. These are underdriven stones so there is more gearing underneath.

Garboldisham Windmill
Norfolk's only surviving postmill was built circa 1770. It was last used for grinding corn in 1917. It was bought in 1972 in an almost derelict state and since then has been lovingly restored by a group of local volunteers, led by Adrian Colman. http://www.norfolkmills.co.uk/Windmills/garboldisham-postmill.html

Garboldisham Post Mill - Great Spur Wheel
The small great spur wheel can be seen here along with the stone nuts and governors. This equipment dates from the 1830s and is one of the reasons why the mill is grade II listed.
