Old Railway Carriage
This old railway carriage appears to be used as a garden store. There are several gardens with old railway carriages being used in this way in South Norfolk and North Suffolk. This does not appear to have been a passenger carriage. It is possible that this was a parcels van or used for the transport of fresh goods, the roof ventilators would suggest it was of at least pre war construction.

Concreted track on Fersfield Common
This old track used to lead through Site 12, an accommodation site of RAF Fersfield. No trace of the campsite remains in the meadow to the left of the track but a number of buildings can still be seen in the wooded area to its right.

Silage bales on hardstanding
The hardstanding and the concreted track seen in the foreground used to form part of Site 12 of RAF Fersfield. The old tracks are now used by farmers to get to their fields and the hardstandings provide very convenient areas for storing straw or silage bales and the odd piece of farm machinery.
