Botesdale Post Office closed
The Subpostmaster and his wife update the house sign. The closure took place on Saturday 22 March 2014 with the replacement Rickinghall Post Office opening the following Monday some eighty yards away in The Newsagents. To the confusion of many, Botesdale PO was located in the parish of Rickinghall Superior.

Rickinghall Newsagent & Post Office
In March 2014 the post office business was moved into the existing Rickinghall Newsagent's from premises just across the road. The inferior PO contract terms were insufficient to support the combined business which closed a day or two after this photograph was taken in August 2016.
