Billingford Mill

Billingford Mill - Animal stones
The smaller set (original) for grinding animal feed. The strange item ontop of it is a conglomerate; this is a Roman or pre-Roman quern stone. A local find it was carved out of a glacial erratic.

Billingford Mill - Sack hoist
The sack hoist which is driven off the crown wheel on the stone floor. The gearing is engaged when the miller pulls on the rope to the right lifting the leather.
