A former Police Station in The Thoroughfare, Halesworth
This police station was built in 1865 at a cost of £800, to replace the earlier station in Quay Street Image
It was staffed by an Inspector and two police constables. The Court was usually held at the Angel Inn and Petty Sessions held at the Assembly Rooms.
It served until 1891 when another new and larger station was built in London Road.
