Joseph Dalton Hooker Bicentenary 2017
Joseph Dalton Hooker was born in this house (then Brewery House) on June 30 1817. Joseph was and explorer, climber and botanist, trained medical doctor, geologist, cartographer, scientific illustrator and plant collector who travelled the world to bring back thousands of specimens still in Kew Gardens today.
