The Queen's Oak in Huntingfield.
Legend has it that Queen Elizabeth I rested here while hunting on what is now the Heveningham Estate. The tree is certainly very old and the estate had royal connections. The tree is an example of a unique species found in Suffolk, genetically different to the trees elsewhere in Britain. It is thought the retreat of glaciers after the ice age isolated this ancient species to southeastern Britain.
