In the background is the church of St Michael and St Felix, which dates from the 13th-century and is the former priory church. In the foreground is a man wielding a scythe harvesting the corn, a homage to the agricultural heritage of the parish. Below the sign on the post is a shield bearing the cross of St George, in the centre of which is St Felix and a key in the dexter chief.
