Site of Southwold Railway station
This is the site of the former Southwold railway Terminus, the 3 ft Gauge line ran from Halesworth to Southwold and closed in 1929. The Station Hotel is in the background (although the name has changed). Houses built on the former railway tracks

The location of the former Southwold Railway Station
The station building stood just within the large shadow in the area behind the building, with the buffers about the centre of the former Police Station. The garages stand roughly where the goods shed once stood, with sidings and other ancillary buildings behind that.

Advertising silhouette and direction to Steamworks
The sign the location of the Steamworks and indicates the direction of the former track, which makes a very pleasant one mile walk to the River Blyth former swing bridge, and beyond to Walberswick.
