Darsham station
The line between Ipswich and Lowestoft was fully opened on 1st June 1859 by the East Suffolk Railway. Darsham station opened on the same day. After the Second World War the line was threatened with closure but it was reprieved in 1966. Various branches led off the line but these are largely gone now. The main station buildings seen on the left here are on the down side. This is looking from the level crossing. A very full account of the line and its branches can be found at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/East_Suffolk_line
