Carlton Hall, near Saxmundham
The 'new' Carlton Hall, built in the last few years to replace the one burnt down in WW2. It is actually expensive flats. Compare this with the picture of the original circa 1930.

Carlton Hall near Saxmundham, circa 1930
In Victorian times Carlton Hall was the home of Richard Garrett III, the famous Leiston engineer, and pioneer of mass production. This one was commandeered by the army at the start of WW2 but then burnt down when the Christmas decorations caught fire. Recently replaced by a new replica configured as expensive flats. Photo from family archives - my grandfather was the chauffeur.
