Snape Bridge and the Maltings quayside
Snape Bridge was rebuilt in 1960; the old bridge was not strong enough to carry construction traffic for the Sizewell nuclear power station. Some of the bricks of the old bridge were bought by local resident Benjamin Britten and now form walls in the garden of the Red House, his Aldeburgh home (see Image).
