Railway Bridge, Saxmundham High Street
On the right the 1950's Post Office/telephone exchange, then the former bus station which opened this week as a pawn shop - the first in Saxmundham in my 60 year lifetime.
At one time there was a plan to turn the large building on the left into a theatre - but it is now two shops and an office.

Lynwood House, number 2 North Entrance, was built, in brick, in the late 18th century with an extension in the early 19th century. The extension has a highly decorated entrance doorway. Listed, grade II, with details at: https://historicengland.org.uk/listing/the-list/list-entry/1365994
Saxmundham is a small market town about 5 miles from the Sussex coast and some 18 miles north east of Ipswich. The River Fromus, a tributary of the River Alde flows through the town. A market charter was first granted in 1272 and a market is still held every Wednesday. Until 1988 the town was astride the A12 trunk road but is now bypassed.
