Water Tower
The Scout Hut has its place in the corner of Memorial Field recreation ground in front of the water tower, which now doubles as a mobile phone aerial mast. I still have a model aircraft engine with the scars of a collision with the tower in the 1960s.
The practice tower of the relatively new Fire Station is also just visible over the hut roof.
