The Gannon Institute, Saxmundham
During The Great War The Gannon Institute was commandeered for use as a V.A.D. Hospital.
These days it is more commonly called The Gannon Rooms.

Houses in the centre of Saxmundham
These old houses, one a former pub, front onto the Market Place, but are here viewed from High Street. Like Wells' shop (extreme left) they received impact damage in the 2nd World War from bombs that fortunately failed to explode. This road was the A12 until Saxmundham was by-passed.
