Richard Garrett Steam Roller
This steam roller was produced at the works, a good sound design like so many manufactured here in the Suffolk town.
This example ended up in Spain, derelict and forgotten it was bought over by the museum and returned to steam.

The Suffolk Punch 33180
Built by the works in March 1917 for ploughing 6 furrows a day. 8 were built being £700 a piece. This example, 33180 was bought by a Suffolk farmer Mr John Goddard of Tunstall.
The engine was purchased by the museum in 1993.

Long Shop Museum - Garrett locomobile
A high efficiency compound overtype with superheating and condensing. Built by Richard Garrett & Sons in 1912 and installed at the sawmill of J Brace & Sons in High Ongar in 1936 Image It ran until 1975. It was returned to the place of its birth in 1983 and is a fine example of the breed.
