Leiston Grammar School - 100 years old
This picture was taken during the special school reunion to mark the 100th anniversary of the building. Not the recent additions on the right of course.
The buildings currently form part of the Middle School, together with the former Secondary Modern next door. As parts of Suffolk abolish middle schools the future of the buildings is now in doubt.

Displayed outside, this Bridge Beam has been restored. The Plaque states that
"This Beam was recovered from Eastbridge, Near Leiston. Presented by A.J.Mew (Saxmundham) Metal Merchants."

Leiston, St Margaret's: church tower
The seminal “Guide to Suffolk Churches” (Mortlock, D.P: Cambridge, The Lutterworth Press, 2009 revision ISBN 978 0 7188 3076 2) informs us that the church is late C13/early C14 but the tower was rebuilt in 1742.
