The Market Cross, Debenham
Originally built as a market house in the early 17th Century the first floor was later used as a school room, endowed in the will of Sir Robert Hitcham. I remember it being used as a wool shop, an antique shop, a craft shop and most recently an Architect's Office. http://www.debenhamsociety.org.uk/

The Old Saddlery
This was the Debenham saddlers and boot repair shop up until it closed in the 1980s. It was run for many years by Leonard Aldous who is the subject of a chapter in GE Evans' classic book "Where beards wag all" and may have been the inspiration for the character of "Horry Rose" in Ronald Blythe's "Akenfield".
