Gun Cotton Way, Stowmarket
The new Cedars Park development on the right. Gun Cotton Way is named after Prentice's Gun Cotton Factory which was situated near here in the 19th century. The factory was the scene of a massive explosion in 1871 http://www.stowmarket-history.co.uk/Explosion.htm which blew out many of the windows in Combs church to the South of here.
