Stow Lodge
The former Stowmarket Workhouse which served the 14 parishes of the Stow Hundred. It cost over £12,000 to build in the 18th century and was described as having the appearance of a 'gentleman's seat rather than a receptacle for paupers'. Numbers of inmates varied but was built to house roughly 250. It has been converted into flats.
