Moat Hall
Apparently formerly known as Old Hall. Very unusually, a well-maintained complete medieval moat; even more unusually the hall is still in existence inside the moated area. Parts of the house are thought to date back to the early 16th century. Also on the site are medieval fish ponds and a Tudor gateway.

Tudor Gateway at Moat Hall
The gateway features two "wild men" in the niches.
Apparently another gateway inside the moated area was sold to a buyer in the USA in 1926 and now forms the entrance of a conference centre in Philadephia (see Suffolk Heritage Explorer website: Moat Hall).
