Growing in a small woodland surrounding a dry pond > http://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/2504856. Lords and ladies flowers in spring and the plant produces poisonous orange-red berries in the autumn. The flowers produce a pungent smell which attracts carrion-feeding flies.
