Buttrums Mill

Buttrums Mill
This view shows the shutter system, the shutters are springed and held together by two wooden rods, connected to the spider upper left. The spider system means that gusts of wind won't damage the sails.

This windmill worked until 1928 and is still complete with its milling machinery. It is open to the public in the summer, at weekends and bank holidays.
