Water Pump, Pump Street, Orford
19th century cast iron Grade II Listed water pump. At one time painted white, this is a Joseph Evans and Sons (Wolverhampton) Ltd product. It has no conventional spout, but instead uses a delivery pipe which emerges a short distance away from the pump head. Indicative of a lift and force pump, where the working barrel is located down the well.

Pump Street Bakery, 1 Unicorns Pump Street, Orford
Late 17th or early 18th century Grade II Listed house much altered in the late 19th century. At one time an old brewery, Pump Street Bakery took the shop in 2009, initially they had intended to run the bakery from the cellar but planning regulations made that impossible. So the owners with Nash Baker Architects restored the space, turned it into a café, that opened mid 2011; they bake the bread down the road in a converted barn.
