Ipswich: street sign for Arras Square
Arras Square is an area on St Stephens Lane, named after Ipswich's twin town. The plaque below commemorates Bernard Durot (1935-2001), "A citizen of Arras (France) and a true friend of Ipswich".

St Stephen's Church tower
The church was declared redundant in 1975 and deteriorated until it reopened as the Tourist Information Centre for Ipswich in 1994. It is immediately opposite the modern Buttermarket shopping complex.

The Ancient House, Buttermarket, Ipswich
This is also known as Sparrow's House, after a former owner, not a bird. It was first built in the 15C, rebuilt in the 16C and pargetted (decorative plasterwork) in the 17C. It is listed Grade I.
