The Crescent

Crescent Road, Felixstowe
There seems to be some confusion as to the name of this stretch of road. Google Maps and the Ordnance Survey mark it as part of Crescent Road, but the businesses on the right, this side of the Palace Cinema, give their address as Hamilton Road. Even more strangely, the A to Z atlas clearly shows it as Highfield Road.

The Palace, Felixstowe
This building opened as the Ritz in 1937 and was converted to a bingo hall in 1963. Eleven years later the cinema operation reopened, alongside the bingo, and now has two screens with, apparently, luxurious American seats with extra legroom. It prompts the question as to why more bingo halls have not retained their cinema screens.
