Boating pool and Leisure Centre
The Leisure Centre is situated near the pier, between the Esplanade and Sea Road. The boating pool is used by 'bumper boats', for a small fee. Despite the warm September sun, there were no takers.

Boardwalk Caf? Bar, Felixstowe Pier
This is a brand new facility. Proposals to repair and renovate the pier go back many years but in 2012 approval was given to demolish and replace the main building. The new one finally opened in October 2017 - so, at the time of this photograph, it had yet to experience a summer season. The building houses the inevitable amusement arcade and this café bar with its stylish outdoor tables.
