Veteran lorry on Cragg Road at Twist Clough
The lettering on the side indicates that this is a coal merchant's lorry. Phil Champion has informed me that: "This is an Austin K9 - military version of the Austin Loadstar. According to DVLA it was built in 1954 but not registered until 1983 - I presume this is because it was army surplus. The vehicle is used daily for coal deliveries."

Shelter under construction at Cragg Vale Park
There was a shelter there before, but it must have been in a poor state as it was removed. Now a replacement is being assembled. The deer was hoping for some tit-bits, but I had eaten all my picnic lunch and anyway pork pie and rhubarb tart would give it indigestion.
