Friendly is the name of the neighbourhood. This pub is within the old Luddenden Foot boundary, but I think most people would associate it with Sowerby Bridge

Half-drained Sowerby Cut
The canal has been partially drained to allow a leak to be repaired. This has exposed interlocking concrete blocks that are normally submerged. The steps down to the moored barge are made from old tyres.
