Stile on Sowerby Bridge FP99 at Dean Lane
The stile leads to two branches of the path, one straight forward in this view, and one to the left. There are two footpath signs on the post, but they both point in the same direction.

Stile on Sowerby Bridge FP99 at Dean Lane
This stile leads to two branches of the path. The one straight forward to the gate in the distant wall goes past Ryburn Valley High School to Brock Well Lane. The one to the right (see Image]) goes to The Breck and the A58.

Gate and stile on Sowerby Bridge FP99
The gate is prevented from opening fully by a post, so you have to go through a narrow squeeze stile. The right-of-way then goes to the right, but is overgrown by nettles etc, so people go straight forward along the edge of the school playing field.

This is the path immediately after going through the gate in Image] and turning right. The path does not look bad here, but gets worse and worse round the corner to the left.
