Halifax Industrial Society
This is a detail of a building that is now a dry cleaners Image - an older inscription at roof level recording the original owners. The Industrial Society was apparently founded in 1864 http://www.calderdale-online.org/community/action/co-operativemovement.html but the particular building may be later.

Brooke's Cleaners
This business on the corner of Skircoat Green Road (foreground) and St Bevan's Road was mainly a self-service laundrette when I used it in the 1980s. I'm not sure whether the name has changed but it seems now to offer dry cleaning and service washes instead.
The building bears an older inscription at roof level Image - it is not listed, but looks to be of historical interest.
