Date stone at corner of wall, Burnley Road, Halifax
Landowners used sometimes to proudly put stones with their initials and date at the corners of their property, and in this case it seems that the retaining wall was built to make the land above more level and useful. However there isn't a big house there, just an area of land behind a row of back-to-back houses.
