Belle Vue, Halifax
The roof and decorative details such as the dormers give this a distinctly French feel. Remodelled in 1856 by George Henry Stokes for Francis Crossley, very wealthy carpet maker and local philanthropist. Grade II* listed.
It served as the public library for some years, but now appears to be offices.
