Railings and valve on Thrum Hall Lane
The railings are probably all that’s left of the former Yorkshire Water offices and depot that closed c.1990, but the valve marker for a 36-inch main reflects the fact that there is a network of trunk water mains around Albert Reservoir.

Roundabout on Hanson Lane
Hanson Lane runs west and east (left and right) from here; the photo is from Thrum Hall Lane. The roundabout is new since I worked in the area in the 1980s, and was probably built along with the ASDA store on the site of a former cricket and speedway stadium.
