Halifax town centre with the former Halifax Building Society Headquarter
The large modern building in the background was once the headquarters of the eponymous Halifax Building Society. The building society is now part of HBOS. Although Halifax has many fine old buildings, this is probably the most notable of the more recent crop. I was pleased to include this in my photographs of the town.

HBOS building and Coliseum
Looking SSW. Built in 1973 as the headquarters for the Halifax Building Society, recent signage indicates the change to HBOS. To the right is the Coliseum nightclub which occupies the former Picture House (1913).
