The junction of Northgate, North Bridge and Dean Clough, close to the centre of Halifax.
The concrete flyover passing behind the buildings carries the A58 main road, by-passing the town centre.

Drinking fountain, North Bridge
At the south end of the bridge, it forms a memorial to James Oates who was a worker during the bridge construction. Listed Grade II as part of the bridge Listing.

North Bridge
Viewed from Beacon Hill. The buildings in the foreground comprise North Bridge leisure Centre. Beyond is North Bridge itself and the Burdock Way flyover. The mill buildings are at the end of the Dean Clough complex. The railway line to Queensbury used to run beneath the bridge, on the right hand side as viewed here. North Bridge was demolished and rebuilt 11ft higher to accommodate the line. North Bridge station was located just beyond the bridge.
