Cannon Street, Kingston upon Hull
At the junction with Bridlington Avenue (formerly St Paul's Street), the East Riding Hotel, No.37 Cannon Street, takes its name from the former East Riding Iron Works of the Hull Forge Iron & Steel Co. Ltd., established circa 1853, adjoining the public house immediately to the south. The pub closed for a time, reopening 2011.

This building on the corner of Caroline Street and Cannon Street is described in Pevsner as "..the factory of DE SMET ROSEDOWNS incorporates an important early ferro-concrete building, built 1900 using the Hennebique system. Four storeys, eight bays."
